Loong Palace introduction
Located at the southern suburb of An Shun City, The Loong Palace is 27km from the downtown, only 30km from the world-famous Huang Guo Shu Waterfall and 116km from Gui Yang, the capital city of Gui Zhou Province. The Loong Palace Tourist Area was open in 1984 and covers a total area of 60km2. Its core sightseeing area is about 18km2. It was rated as China National Tourist Attraction in 1988, and National AAAAA Tourist Attraction in 2007, for it is the best illustration of karst landscape with wonderful karst caves, valleys, waterfalls, peaks, cliffs, streams, stone forests, karst funnels and underground rivers. So, it appreciates the fame as “East or west, the karst landscape in Loong Palace is the best.”
The Loong Palace consists of two theme parts: Long Tan Wonderland and Tong Xuan Countryside. It is endowed with the longest and most beautiful karst water caves (the Yi Jin and Er Jin Loong Palace), the biggest Buddhist architecture in cave in China (Guan Yin Cave), the biggest karst cave waterfall in China (Loong Men Waterfall), the Lowest Natural Radiation Dose in the world declared by China Atomic Energy Authority, the biggest Water or Dry Karst Cave Groups in China, the world biggest Chinese character of “Loong” - Loong Zi Paddy, and the multi-ethnic culture featured by Miao culture and Bu Yi culture. The excellent karst landscape, marvellous natural scenery, colorful multi-ethnic culture, unique Loong culture, rustic religion, and fresh countryside together form a Shangri-La.
